Calum Pringle, founder of Reno, explains the latest product updates and how user feedback shapes what gets built next.
Product update, 21 May 2026
Since we started Reno, paint planning has been a big deal.
Lots of you have shown us how you have been using Reno to work through paint schemes already, usually by decorating the wall elevations and then adding labels to keep track of which paint is going where for your build team.
What's new?
Reno now automatically lists and calculates your paint and tile coverage by room in your plan.

While you decorate your wall elevations, Reno works out the surface area of your painted walls from floor to ceiling, minus:

You can then see the paint brand, name of the colour and the covered area in your Reno plan, automatically updated inside the project details tab.
And the same applies to tiles too:

We automatically include:
Everything is pulled together into a clean project breakdown, ready to share with your trades, clients or suppliers.
Why we built it
Renovation planning is made up of hundreds of small decisions.
This update is about helping decor decisions get captured and communicated clearly (as well as taking away the worry of calculating the paint coverage from scratch yourself). You have a clear breakdown of your paints, and a record of the detailed decisions you have made for your tiling all in one place.
Every piece of feedback we get from our homeowners, interior designers and trades makes it back in to improve Reno, so that planning the next renovation project is even easier.
