A new bathroom in Walthamstow

This was a full bathroom renovation, with a lot of decisions packed into a very small space. Layout, storage, tiles, lights, and making sure every detail was clearly understood by the builder before work began.

The challenge

Bathrooms are one of those spaces where it is very easy to miss things until it is too late. Wall layouts, niches, tile lines, and clearances all matter, but they are hard to visualise from sketches or conversations alone.

Where Reno came in

The homeowner, Diane, used Reno to design and plan the bathroom in detail before work started. This included:

Working with the builder

One of the biggest wins on the project was communication with the builder.

Rather than relying on long whatsapp / text explanations, the builder could open the plans on their phone and check dimensions, layouts, and details whenever they needed to.

“My builders are using it to check the plans, dimensions etc. It makes our lives so easy. The builder opens it on his phone and saw all the little details that I added like we had originally thought about a niche for the shower, and the storage ledge above the toilet”

This helped avoid misunderstandings and gave everyone confidence that the work being done matched the plan.

The finished bathroom matched the original design, with no last-minute changes or surprises. Decisions were made earlier, communication was clearer, and the whole process felt far more in control.
